Not only is the right equipment necessary for a job, but the right eye and skill level are equally important, it takes a trained eye to find flaws in every shot or frame of life. For starters the equipment that I use for a job is a Canon Digital Rebel Xti, a Canon 17-85mm IS Lens (IS meaning Image Stabilizing) and a Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash. That bit of equipment is standard, but I am constantly upgrading equipment to keep up with the demand of the photography industry. My goal is to either purchase a studio for portraits, events, glamour shots, pet photography and any other type of photo/pose you may want to get photographed.
I have photographed a few weddings not including bridal parties, engagement parties, family functions, get together's, formal parties etc. I enjoyed a seasonal employment position at the PCA portrait studio, there I was able to extend my personal portrait skills as well as posing and finding a package that is best suited for an individual. As well as field experience, I have completed courses in photography were included in my Multimedia: Graphic Design course. The experience from that course gave me the physics of a camera, how to use it, tips on certain shots (apertures/shutter speeds), it also gave me some experience with photo shoots with models and glamour shots. My experience and skill level in my eyes are far from attained, I am very motivated to excel in my field and am equally propelled to reach my goals in a timely fashion.
